Sarah began working in the underground hip-hop and electronic scene in Montreal after filming a documentary which explored the ways in which gender frames an artist’s position in the hip-hop scene. Starting with curating and planning after-hours parties, Sarah moved into hosting weekly events. After moving home to Halifax she dove into the local scene joining the team at the Halifax Pop Explosion, a four-day music festival, as the Production Coordinator. During this time, Sarah had the opportunity to work with an amazing and dynamic group. Sarah is now the music and licensing manager for 902HipHop, where she gets to link the narratives of 902HipHop artists to specific moments in TV & Filmtv.
